Before fixing the first insulation panel, the façade requires a rigid and perfectly horizontal support at the base of the wall. The aluminium starter rail fulfils this role across the full range of insulation thicknesses available on the market, from 23 to 243 mm, with a simple connection system to cover any length of façade.

The 100 mm aluminium top rail is a protective profile designed to cover and protect the upper edge of insulation panels where this is not covered by a roof overhang. Designed for insulation thicknesses of 100 mm, it is sold in lengths of 2.5 m.
Made from aluminium, its teardrop shape ensures effective drainage of rainwater, thereby providing long-lasting protection for the external thermal insulation system.
The 120 mm aluminium top rail is a protective profile designed to cover and protect the upper edge of insulation panels where this is not covered by a roof overhang. Designed for insulation thicknesses of 120 mm, it is sold in lengths of 2.5 m.

The 200 mm aluminium coping rail is a protective profile designed to cover and protect the top edge of insulation panels where this is not covered by a roof overhang. Designed for insulation thicknesses of 200 mm, it is sold in lengths of 2.5 m.
Made from aluminium, its teardrop shape ensures effective drainage of rainwater, thereby providing long-lasting protection for the external thermal insulation system.
The 23 mm aluminium ITE starter rail enables an external thermal insulation project to get off to a smooth start. It ensures that thin insulation boards are held in place and aligned, whilst protecting the lower part of the façade.
The 40 mm aluminium top rail is a protective profile designed to cover and protect the upper edge of insulation panels where this is not covered by a roof overhang. Designed for insulation 40 mm thick, it is sold in lengths of 2.5 m.
Made from aluminium, its teardrop shape ensures effective drainage of rainwater, thereby providing long-lasting protection for the external thermal insulation system.
Designed for external thermal insulation composite (ETICS) systems, this 43 mm aluminium starter rail ensures precise alignment of the insulation boards and a neat finish at the bottom of the façade.
The 53 mm aluminium ITE starter rail enables an external thermal insulation project to get off to a smooth start. It ensures that 50 mm insulation panels are held in place and aligned, whilst protecting the lower part of the façade from impact and damp.
The 60 mm aluminium top rail is a protective profile designed to cover and protect the upper edge of insulation panels where this is not covered by a roof overhang. Designed for insulation thicknesses of 60 mm, it is sold in lengths of 2.5 m.
Made from aluminium, its teardrop shape ensures effective drainage of rainwater, thereby providing long-lasting protection for the external thermal insulation system.
Designed for use with 60 mm insulation boards, this aluminium starter rail simplifies the installation of external wall insulation systems and improves the quality of the finish.
The 83 mm starter rail provides reliable support for 80 mm insulation boards and helps to protect the lower part of the external thermal insulation system.
This 103 mm aluminium starter rail is designed to be used when installing 100 mm insulation panels in energy-efficiency refurbishment projects.
The 123 mm aluminium ITE starter rail enables an external thermal insulation project to get off to a smooth start. Compatible with ETICS systems, it secures the insulation boards in place, protects the base of the façade and ensures a durable finish.
The starter rail acts as a rigid support for the first row of insulation panels whilst the adhesive sets, preventing any slippage or misalignment that would affect all the rows above. Without it, a simple temporary support cannot guarantee either perfect horizontality or long-term stability: aluminium, which is rigid and corrosion-resistant, retains its shape without deforming under the weight of the panels or deteriorating on contact with moisture at the base of the wall. Once the façade is complete, it continues to play a protective role by marking a clear boundary between the insulation and the ground or the plinth – an area particularly exposed to splashing water and mechanical impact. It is the very first component to be installed on an external wall insulation (EWI) site, even before the first insulation panel, and its initial alignment determines the evenness of the entire façade. Once positioned and secured, it also serves as a visual reference for checking the plumbness of the façade throughout the construction process.
The range of starter rails covers virtually all insulation thicknesses available on the market, with widths ranging from 23 to 243 mm: simply select the reference that corresponds exactly to the thickness of the installed panel, regardless of the insulation material chosen. The 2.5 m bars are joined end-to-end using a connecting strip or a connector sold in packs of 100, so that they run the full length of the façade without any break in alignment, and simple adjustment shims compensate for any unevenness in a substrate that is not perfectly flat. The top rail is exactly the same width but is fitted at the top, only where the façade changes plane: unlike the starter rail, which is always required at the base of the wall, it is installed only at specific high points on a given building.
