Description
The 60 mm thick GUTEX Thermowall is a wood fibre render-bearing panel designed for external thermal insulation (ETI). With a thermal resistance of R = 1.50 m².K/W, it is suitable for façades where space is limited and for treating specific problem areas. Denser than Thermowall-L, it offers high compressive strength – an advantage for a render substrate subject to stress – whilst retaining the qualities of wood fibre: thermal inertia, sound insulation and vapour permeability.

The 60 mm thick GUTEX Thermowall panel is a wood fibre insulation board designed to be rendered, intended for low-thickness external insulation systems. It is used on façades where space is limited, on window reveals and sills, or to supplement a Thermowall system at specific points. With a thermal conductivity of 0.040 W/(m·K), it offers a thermal resistance of R = 1.50 m²·K/W. Its density of approximately 160 kg/m³ gives it a compressive strength of at least 100 kPa, making it a particularly robust substrate for render. Bio-based and made from fir and spruce wood, it retains the benefits of wood fibre: thermal inertia for summer comfort, sound insulation and permeability to water vapour diffusion. This panel is designed for façade contractors, timber builders and homeowners seeking eco-friendly, low-thickness insulation, for both new builds and renovation projects.
The 60 mm thickness is particularly useful where every centimetre counts: window reveals, façades on property boundaries or spot repairs. Its density makes it a solid substrate for render; cut it using a blade suitable for wood fibre.

Even at a thin thickness, GUTEX wood fibre provides thermal inertia and a robustness of render that EPS does not offer; graphite-reinforced EPS remains more insulating at the same thickness.
